Our success in achieving our mission of creating opportunity is clearly illustrated by our work with the United States Postal Service. It all started when members of our team created the patented, automated postal center kiosks used in post offices around the country. IGI also developed the point-of-sale systems now in operation in thousands of USPS offices.

In January 2007, IGI was selected by the USPS to automate their Contract Postal Units (CPUs). These CPUs typically serve areas where traditional postal services aren't available.

900 new units in 15 days

Within only nine months, the CPU project pilot was launched. National rollout of the new system, known as CARS (Contract Access Retail System), began less than a year from the award of the initial contract. Within 15 days, more than 900 stores were converted to our new automated system.

In most cases, the new system was installed, employees trained, and the store reopened for business within the same day. IGI continues to manage the project and is proud to have been part of making this such a success – widely considered to be the USPS' most successful national rollout.

100% commitment

We have built successful partnerships with all of our clients by working closely with them to ensure we fully understand their organizations. Through our in-depth analysis, we clarify problems, devise solutions, design and implement systems, train personnel and ensure continuing maintenance and upgrade support.
